For the 50th anniversary, Schmid Hutter AG came to us to renew their website — and of course we were happy to be there. The existing website should not only be modernized, but also built and redesigned from scratch, including a microsite that tells the company's history vividly and visually. Since Schmid Hutter is regularly invited to tender, the goal was to create a website that impresses with a clear structure, intuitive user interface and a precise user experience. In this way, clients should find relevant information quickly and specifically. At the same time, the website should be technically structured in such a way that it can be flexibly extended and remains usable in the long term.
Approach & Outcome
We have simplified the structure and structure of the website in order to provide users with clear orientation. The new landing page focuses on the most important topics and provides a quick overview. We have worked out the core competencies more precisely and reorganized the content so that navigation is clearer and more intuitive. We have retained the existing logo because it shapes Schmid Hutter's identity. Based on this, we have developed a calm color scheme that conveys trust and precision. The typography picks up on the design language of the logo and continues it in the digital presence. For the anniversary, we have created a separate page that tells the 50-year history of the company in a horizontal storytelling format, as a sign of continuity and progress. The result is a website that provides users with orientation and strengthens trust in Schmid Hutter.
